Job Offer: Sports Teacher – Groupe Scolaire Emergence Sarl (male/female).

Groupe Scolaire Emergence Sarl, needs the services of a Sports Teacher for the 2021-2022 Academic year, to serve at Emergence Bilingual School Logbessou. We seek to inspire Pupils beyond the classroom to become lifelong learners and global citizens of the 21st Century by developing their talents in a Bilingual environment.

 

Job title: Sports Teacher – Part Time Position

Start date: September, 2021

Location: Emergence Bilingual School Logbessou - Douala

 

Job Scope The role of the Sports Teacher is to help students from Pre-Nursery to Primary 6 learn the rules and objectives of various sports. Physical education teachers also teach students how to live a healthy lifestyle by encouraging them to take part in daily exercise and activity in accordance with each student’s ability.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Plan Sports lessons in line with the Emergence Vision

· Ensure lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of all students

· Collaborate with other Head teachers and Programs Department in planning a balanced overall physical education programme

· Provide appropriate safety instruction and make safety checks on equipment and field areas to insure the over-all safety of students

· Evaluate each Pupil’s growth in physical skills, knowledge and contribution in team sports by giving regular feedback

· Maintain control of storage and use of school-owned property

· Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme

 

 

Key Relationships

Internal: Pupils, Teachers, Level Heads, Head Teachers and Programs Department of the School

External: Parents

 

Position Requirements

Education University teaching degree in Sports/ Physical Education

MUST HAVE SKILLS

· Proficiency in English or French

· Knowledge both French and English

 

Experience

· Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.

 

Competencies

· Demonstrate professionalism, commitment, integrity, strength of character and perseverance

· Inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills

· Be mindful of Arabic and Islamic values when preparing lessons

· Articulate communicator

· Committed to ensuring high standards of teaching

 

Additional Requirements

· First Aid Diploma

 

Salary:

Negotiable.
