About the role

We are currently growing our team and we are looking for new engineers to help us build more new awesome features/projects. You will be part of an innovative, versatile, supportive environment.

 

Must have

?     You are a solution-oriented engineer who is interested in hard problems and delivering value

?     You are an organized worker who follows best practices regarding code quality, testing and code reviews

?     You are comfortable working in a team, and can easily work with non-technical colleagues

?     You want to help build an innovative product used by tens of thousands of users across Africa.

 

What you will be doing

?     Design, develop, and deliver new features on our RESTful API and related services

?     Build internal tools to help us move faster with confidence and quality

?     Assist in requirements identification and in producing specifications

?     Create and maintain a development environment for efficient testing and integration

?     Participate in team knowledge sharing and make recommendations for continuous improvement

 

Our primary languages are PHP on the backend, Javascript on the frontend, and React native for our Mobile applications. Our platform runs on serverless containers hosted in the cloud, with Mariadb as our database of choice.

 

Nice to have

Professional experience with any of the following languages: Express or  FastAPI

Experience building fintech solutions

Good knowledge of microservices and setting up event-driven architectures.

Languages: Php, Javascript

Data storage: Mariadb, object storage(S3), redis

Analytics: Metabase

Tools: Github, Docker, Trello, Github actions
