The construction officer will assist the WASH/Shelter Program Coordinator and lead the WASH/Shelter Team in the North West Region in providing technical support in the development of NRC’s WASH and Shelter programming and high quality technical planning and implementation of construction activities. He/she shall ensure efficient and effective construction of water, sanitation and shelter (including educational infrastructures) facilities in the respective implementation sites, inspect and monitor routine sanitation facilities (bathing shelter, water points and latrines) and maintenance of the constructed systems to ensure minimal service as per the sphere standard and in conformity with Engineering norms and standards. He/she will be responsible in all construction activities in the WASH/Shelter department. The construction officer will be lead in all technical designs, BOQ preparations, technical specifications, legal proceedings related to constructions, and elaboration of tender documents as well as follow up of contracting process and contracts management.
