The SAP Systems Administrator (SAP Basis Administrator) is responsible for monitoring the SAP Production environment (PRD), the quality assurance environment for testing and training (QA) and finally the Development environment. (DEV). He/she must ensure that these environments are in a condition to deliver excellent service availability, appreciable processing and response times.

Main activities and tasks

• Allocate the necessary hardware resources to SAP applications and databases to ensure that they run smoothly and exhibit a high level of resiliency and performance. Provide trend analysis to the management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management;
• Plan and implement periodic maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all SAP-related systems and databases while providing patch management and upgrades;
• Proactively monitor SAP systems with Solution Manager to ensure secure services with minimal downtime and to improve performance and proactively address any potential failures;
• Ensure deployments between the Develop (DEV) and Quality Assurance (QA) and Production (PRD) environments;
• Test and release database updates according to agreed timelines and change control;
• Plan and ensure the maintenance of automated processes and activities, their backup and recovery for all SAP systems on an hourly and daily basis;
• Design and implement Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for SAP environments so that they are accurate and up-to-date and systems can be recovered in a timely manner if required.
• Maintain technical infrastructure reference documents such as technical architecture, interface references, hardware and software assets

Profile

• Minimum BAC+3 in computer science
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the fields of IT; implementation and support of SAP ECC, BW, SAP Net Weaver Java system, Fiori, GRC;
• Certification in the field of SAP BASIS (SAP S/4 HANA) would be an asset.

Technical skills                       

• Have a good command of the S4/Hana suite;
• Administration of Linux and Windows operating systems;
• IT network management
• Good knowledge of the ITIL Framework or equivalent
• Have good legal and regulatory knowledge of data management in Cameroon (use, deadlines, lifespan);
• Have a good knowledge of IT standards and environment in Cameroon.
• Excellent level in technical English.
