OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

·         Developing more clients, on-line and off-line channels (Traders, Supermarket chains, e-commerce platforms);

·         Discover new selling opportunities, broaden our local offering;

·         Relationship management – performing face-to-face meetings with clients;

·         Meeting sales and margin targets;

 

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Identifies business opportunities, conduct market research to find selling  possibilities and evaluate customer needs;

·         Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media;

·         Set up meetings with potential clients and understand their requirements and concerns;

·         Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections;

·         Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions;

·         Gathering market information, market demand/trend, competition environment;

·         Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities and  service improvements;

·         Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors;

·         Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information;


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

-          Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree – Commercial or Business Field

 

Experience:

 

·         Minimum relevant  5-10 years’ experience(for one senior sales manager) and 1-5 years experience(for two junior sales executives) in Cameroon (or any other surrounding African country) related to sales/ trading/Export of FMCG/Food items;

·         Preferably experienced in dealing/selling to e-commerce platforms/ other wholesale channels who can import high quality FMCG items (Beverage, Confectionery, Food etc.);

·         Understanding the import regulations of FMCG items into Western Africa;

·         Having an up-to-date business network in the African FMCG field;

 

Professional Skills:

 

-              Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques;

-              Self-motivated with a results-driven approach;

-              Excellent client relationship management skill;

-              Handling client complains successfully;
