SWECOM LTD is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the positions of;

  1. PERSONNEL OFFICER.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum Master degree or equivalent in Human resources Management.

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Core functions: Assuring the Administration and Management of personnel from personnel needs; recruitment and selection; motivation; payments; appraisals; and disciplining of personnel. Also responsible for the drafting of contracts; policies and procedures with the main concern for compliance; standard and security of the working environment.

 

 

Duties and Responsibility

Mission/core purpose of the job (short description)

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Maintains the work structure by assigning; and updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

b) Maintains the organization of staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidates’selection; conducting and analysing exit interviews; recommending changes, motivation and other disciplinary procedures.

c) Advises the training Officer; General Manager and the Board Human Resource Committee on the training needs of the employees.

d) Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.

e) Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training staff to coach and discipline employees; scheduling conferences; training and events with management; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors.

f) Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.

g) Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource and social security compliance such as the CNPS and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.

h) Monitors employees performances and attendance activities by ensuring that employees perform their duties effectively and efficiently.

i) Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

j) Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.

k) Ensures prompt report to the Board Human Resource Committee on work related issues of the employees and the company.

l) Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies in order to enhance skills.

m) Upholding the company’s corporate culture by ensuring that all the employees respect the policies and procedures of the company.

n) Advises the Board Human Resource Committee through the Administration and Finance Manager of the best human resource policies; best measures in conflict resolutions with clients and the employees as well as constantly analysing the training needs of the personnel in the various departments and branches

o) Ensuring that employees have the adequate materials and equipment to work with and especially ensure that maximum security and safe zones and conditions for workers are respected.

p) Manages the human resources budget and advises the General Manager and the Committee on the variances form the actual and planned budgets.

q) Promote the use of modern media tools for the conduction of duties and assigned tasks with adequate research options for the personnel.

r) Represent the company on events and other work related inspection exercises.

s) Transmit information to the representatives of various departments and branches on the status of salaries; internal regulations; attendance; resource movements; safety and security.

t) Resolving employees related conflicts and propose to senior management the need for alternative dispute resolutions.

u) Any other duty as may be assigned by the management; board of directors and the Board Human Resource Committee.
