Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Planning Officer or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer Program Associate will:

·         Support the development of WHO’s operational plan with detailed costed activity plan, prioritization and allocation of resources

·         Monitor the implementation of WHO's projects and grants under the supervision of Planning Officer to ensure the timely implementation, expenditure tracking and reporting as per the project proposal

·         Work with the monitoring and evaluation team of WHO country office, develop key monitoring and evaluation indicators, monitor and track these indicators systematically and produce final evaluation report for specific projects in a timely manner.

·         Develop data profile for each new projects implemented and operationalized by WHO in consistent manner with the purpose of keeping a historical archive

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level

Bachelor degree or equivalent

Educational additional comments

Bachelor's Degree in public health / Health Science/ Health Management is desirable

Required experience

24 Months

Experience remark

·         Relevant work experience in UN agencies; experience of working in relevant non-governmental or humanitarian organizations.

·         Relevant experience in the designing health and humanitarian projects

Language skills

·         English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent

·         Somali(Optional), Level - Working Knowledge
