Options recruits an experienced consultant to carry out an analysis of political economy (PEA) on the issue of Rights / Sexual and Reproductive Health D-SSR and family planning in Cameroon. Its purpose will be to inform future interventions of the WISH Lot 1 program. Applications in French must include a complete CV and a cover letter.


  • The Political Economy Analysis (PEA) Officer will be responsible for carrying out an analysis of Political Economy on the issue of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Law (D-SSR) and more specifically relating to family planning in Cameroon, with the aim of informing the interventions of the WISH Lot 1 program.
  • The mission of establishing a PEA will be problem-oriented; the D-SSR-related theme for this mission will be determined by the team's main partner in the country, the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) in Cameroon and Options (London-based team).
  • The consultant will work closely with the IPPF team in Cameroon and will use predetermined qualitative methodologies to actively engage stakeholders and decision-makers in the policy analysis.
  • He / she will also have to ensure that the final content of the documents can directly influence the WISH Lot 1 program's interventions and comply with the standards defined by the London-based Options Team.

Person specification:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor or Master 2 in Public Policy, Political Science or other related field. Significant experience in using qualitative methodologies with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience and strong commitment in the practice of D-SSR and family planning, in connection with reforms in this area.
  • Knowledge in the field of political economy analysis as well as conceptual frameworks and related approaches, eg. : Gender Analysis and Theory of Change.


The Consultant will receive a contract and payments will be validated by "Completed Step" upon receipt of the Analysis Products validated by the Options Technical Authority and an invoice, which will be processed by the Options Program Manager prior to receipt. any payment.
