We are looking for a great Quality Assurance Engineer with a knack of finding bugs to work on a diverse portfolio of web & mobile applications to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.. You will work with other Developers, Quality Engineers and Product Managers within our Federal organization throughout the software life cycle in an agile environment.

Quality Assurance being an integral part of our software development process, you would be involved from the very start of our development lifecycle to contribute in embedding quality into the development process for our fintech applications, while upholding our high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

You shall be expected to maximise the use of quality assurance automation into all aspects of the development and deployment processes.

Your main duties and responsibilities for this role include:

• Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Use agile methodologies to plan and track work.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

MUST: Excellent command of English & French Language: Reading, Writing, Speaking

• You have at least 2+ years of experience in a comparable role in a fast-growing/scale-up environment where you have worked on a variety of projects
• Extreme attention to detail
• A thirst for finding deviations from specifications
• Quick understanding of the business impact of customer requirements and how to implement them in test scenarios
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Proven experience in a testing framework to create and execute automatic tests
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and you’re not afraid to be “hands-on” to get it done.
• You have a passion for learning, innovation and finding new efficiencies.
• You are proactive and you take ownership.
• You are comfortable with collaboration tools and technology
  
  

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with writing automated testing either for web, mobile or API
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Fundamental programming skills
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• Experience working with CI environments like Jenkins, docker etc
