Field of activity

The "Modernization of the Public Finance System" module in Cameroon advises the Cameroonian tax administration, the finance ministry and the economy and planning ministry on reforms to the tax administration, the budget system and the improvement of domestic cooperation relationships through technical advice and needs-based qualification measures.

Your tasks

  • Assistance in advising the tax administration as well as the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy and Planning
  • Support of change processes and dialogue processes in the tax administration as well as in the central and sectoral ministries
  • Support for process advice on the reorganization of domestic financial and cooperation relationships in cooperation with the module on decentralization and local development
  • Monitoring and coordination of measures with the consulting office that implements the activities in the reform of the budgetary system
  • Participation in the control of the component
  • Support for the person responsible for the project in project management (in particular operational and financial planning, monitoring and evaluation as well as reporting)

your profile

  • University degree in economics or comparable courses with a focus on public finance
  • First professional experience in the field of public finance, preferably in budgetary matters
  • First relevant professional experience, preferably acquired abroad, in a partner country of development cooperation abroad
  • Diplomatic skills in dealing with partners at national level
  • Experience and skill in the conception and support of change processes
  • Strong ability to think conceptually and formulate concepts as well as technical and political papers
  • Distinctive social and intercultural skills, frustration tolerance and interest in working in a politically demanding environment
  • Business fluent knowledge of French and German; good English knowledge
