Description of task

1. Information and data capture, management and analysis . Review and establish below standardised long-term information management tools. content categories & filing methodology o content access matrix & relevant user groups o content retention schedule o content sharing modalities

•Review the existing information and related within the Office and ensure they are managed according to the above established standards: content categories & filing structure are configured properly in the Office’s information management systems. user groups are created with proper content access permissions and group membership is managed proactively; legacy contents are reviewed and appraised according to the retention schedule; contents are shared with internal and external partners according to the established sharing models. Create a VAC knowledge base; Consolidate, update, classify qualitative and quantitative information and data to ensure that all information and data are accurate, reliable, up-to-date, and readily accessible; Information and data should be collected in the VAC knowledge base are related to: All forms of VAC in all settings, both on line and offline: magnitude, trends, emerging issues, context specificities. VAC Factors : Drivers , demand, protective factors o VAC impact and cost. Promising practices: policies, legislations, institutional and budget measures, including preventive measures/social norms, access to services (child protection, education, digital literacy, health/mental health, justice, social protection) .

Child participation and engagement : promising practices :Links the VAC knowledge base with other knowledge platforms created by the Office’s internal and external partners, including but not limited to: UN organizations and entities (Global and regional levels) . Civil Society Organisation (CSO). Intergovernmental Regional organisations. Information and Communications Technology (ICT); Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and Financial Institutions. Academia.


2. Data visualisation, reporting and application Perform data analysis and statistical analysis for the results. Conduct desktop research, and using journal articles, newspaper sources, questionnaires, surveys, and interviews to gather data. Support in design user research methods such as surveys, questionnaires, and online polls. Develop visualisation and visual information products (infographics, factsheets etc) to support programme planning, monitoring and decision making and provide value-added dissemination. Contribute to planning and implementation of innovation activities requiring expertise in data management and data analysis. Support in development of OSRSG-VAC knowledge products (blogs, articles, newsletters, reports etc). Support to develop a framework to capture the learning from the experiments in such a way that it favours critical reflection, scaling and rapid adaptation over static reporting.


3. Technical support: Provide OSRSG-VAC with ICT support, liaison with OICT service desk. Compliance with the Secretariat information security and data protection rules. Ensure all OSRSF-VAC data are properly stored in enterprise applications or properly backed-up. Provide other support as needed.

A bachelor’s degree in information science, data science, data analysis, computer science, statistics or other relevant field is required.

Knowledge in Cloud storage and solutions (e.g., OneDrive, Azure) as well as Cloud collaboration software (e.g. TEAMs, and ZOOM, ..etc) is an advantage.

Qualifications, skills, experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in developing information productions or knowledge products using data analytics and visualisation approaches. Experience in child protection, civilian protection, or humane rights is a plus. Relevant certifications in software management and application, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is an asset. Knowledge in Cloud storage and solutions (e.g., OneDrive, Azure) as well as Cloud collaboration software (e.g. TEAMs, and ZOOM, ..etc) is an advantage.
