Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Innovation team lead or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer, an Innovation Information management Specialist, will have will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:

a.       Provide continuous content update in the WHO AFRICA Innovation marketplace platform

b.      Provide analytical information on local, regional and global health innovations that are making health impact on the lives of people

c.       Profile emerging technologies, innovations and digital solutions and continuously update the information on the platform

d.      Manage applications from innovators that express interest in participating in the innovation webinars organized to showcase innovations in the African region

e.       Triaging and management of the innovation proposals received through the marketplace platform

f.       Continuously update content on the platform related to current innovation events and publications

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level

Bachelor degree or equivalent

Educational additional comments

1.      Certificate in web designing and development

2.      Degree in Health sciences, Information management, Engineering studies, Business administration and other related field

Required experience

60 Months

Experience remark

1.      At least 5 years of proven experience in web designing, development and content management

2.      Experience working with a UN agency or International organization will be an added advantage

Language skills

·         English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent

·         French(Mandatory), Level - Working Knowledge
