To support its rapidly growing business and operations, we are looking for a Head of Operations for one of our clients (specialized in  digital financial services and technology consultation) to oversee, manage and optimize its organization's technical operation and support activities.

The Head of operations will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the activities and communication between the business and technical departments across product, development after-sales and support functions. Reporting to the Managing Director, he/she will be a key leader in the team ensuring that customers and partners experience a triple A service.

Strong people and communication skills, business judgment, knowledge of tools and technologies, deep experience of operational management and associated best practices and a keen focus on user engagement are essential.

We’re looking for someone who is energetic and creative; who is persistent and resilient; who likes tackling problems and has a passion for shaping the future and positioning our brand as a thought leader in the B2B space.

Main duties and responsibilities for this role include:

  • Daily ownership and management of all operations: make sure partners and agents are efficiently and effectively processing payments in company platforms, maximizing value along the value chain
  • Build and develop an exceptional operations management team: guide, support and coach the respective team leads so they can effectively run their teams and become better managers themselves. Building a solid managerial structure with direct reports will be an essential element of success for this role as the team scales with our business
  • We strive for an outstanding customer service. You will ensure these high standards are maintained and constantly improved
  • Manage our partner onboarding end-to-end and coordinating with the engineering teams to support partner integrations
  • Identify operational patterns, improvement opportunities, anomalies, etc. as well as management metrics, KPIs, etc.
  • Analysis and implementation of recommendations, but delivering operational efficiency and improvements will be your responsibility
  • You will liaise with our product teams to make sure they develop the tools we need to optimise how we deploy our operational resources
  • Together with our Compliance team ensure all aspects of our operations are compliant with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Together with our Finance team ensure reconciliation with all partners are performed regularly to catch discrepancies.

Key Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • MUST: Excellent command of English & French Language: Reading, Writing, Speaking
  • Candidate must have at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role in a fast-growing/scale-up environment where he/she has worked on a variety of projects. Ideally in a role within our industry
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and you’re not afraid to be “hands-on” to get it done.
  • Have a passion for learning, innovation and finding new efficiencies
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong project management skills
  • Possess very strong process improvement skills and can identify inefficiencies in existing processes.
  • Understand ITIL processes and have at least worked with them in the past or even better implemented them
  • You are of the M-Shaped Type with deep as well as broad knowledge and experience in multiple areas
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail and can handle multiple demands and competing and changing priorities.
  • Proactive and you take ownership.
  • Comfortable with collaboration tools and technology
