JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: EDUCATION ADMINISTRATOR LOCATION: BUEA Mountain Tech Academy a veritable tech academy with a Head office in Buea has an unusual opportunity for a curriculum development specialist to serve as an Education administrator. The Educational Administrator will be responsible for the development of instructional material, coordination of the training delivery, and assessment of effectiveness in accordance with state and local standards. The educational administrator will play a crucial role in communicating with participants and assisting with developing curriculum lesson plans. He/She will ensure that our training programs are engaging and running smoothly, as such should also be a reliable problem-solver with strong project management skills.   RESPONSIBILITIES ? Analyze students/trainee's examinations ? Assess and discuss curriculum standards ? Research trends in instructional methods and educational technology ? Review and recommend textbooks and other educational materials ? Observe the work of teaching staff to evaluate the performance ? Provide feedback based on individual observations and student performance data ? Train teachers and other instructional staff in new content or technology ? Mentor or coach teachers in skill improvement ? Plan, organize, and conduct training conferences and workshops ? Carry out clerical duties, including answering phones and preparing documents ? Participate in creating and implementing training program ? Provide full administrative support to the administration team and teaching staff as required ? Maintain training records (e.g. trainee lists, schedules, attendance sheets) ? Submit reports on training activities and results ? Manage budgets, logistics, events and meetings ? Book classrooms and ensure they’re properly set up ? Handle scheduling, record-keeping and reporting ? Deal with queries and complaints procedure ? Coordinate assessment processes ? Monitor financial affairs, including budgets and purchasing of institution’s expenses ? Perform other duties as assigned by hierarchy REQUIREMENTS ? Completion of a Master’s Degree in Education; ? Completion of training in curriculum and resource development; ? Years of program coordination experience, curriculum and resource development experience will be an advantage; ?
