JOB ACTIVITIES   

Procurement

Manage the procurement, transport, storage and or processing of stock and inventory items

Analyses rig Materials Requisitions, challenges them for complete technical specifications and or detailed Scope of Work for Service Orders to source adequately and efficiently

Identify and select the best sourcing options

Prioritize sourcing with regards to rig operational integrity and priorities

Process Purchase Orders in conformance with Company standards

Plan and organize the transfer of goods and materials from suppliers

Tracks the movement of goods and services from purchase to delivery

Transit & Logistics

Manage the logistics for the area. Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to by personnel involved with the procurement and materials functions

Freight cost and logistics processes are reviewed, and necessary changes done to improve the process and reduce freight cost in the area

Identify and implement optimal import solutions for materials sourced overseas considering operational priorities

Screen import documentations and liaises with vendors, freight forwarders and transit departments

Understand mechanics and rules of privileged customs regimes, dangerous goods transportation, and shipment planning

Oversees Materials Receipt in Country

Inventory & Warehousing

Assists in the implementation of inventory management strategy and initiative for operating rigs

Ensure that the inventory management system is being used efficiently to allow monitoring, flagging, and controlling of inventory levels

Manage the inventory allocation for the area, as well as the handling of overstock and obsolete inventories

Ensure a review of the cycle counts and variances are done on monthly basis for all operating rigs and report the information to stakeholders

Monitors Quality Control at Reception, for local and international Purchase Orders

Upon Receipts of Materials, identifies and communicates operational priorities to Warehouse Team

Liaise with shorebase and offshore materials teams to ensure inventory is managed using applying the highest standards (storage, preservation, stock count, critical spare parts)

Interact with client to optimize rig logistics, according to operational priorities and vessel planning

Active management of rig ERP (SAP) database (creation of items, stock management, etc.)

Training and monitoring of yard team and activities

Finance & Cost Control

Ensure personnel comply with the company’s supply chain policies and procedures, internal/external audit

Identify and ensure correct selection of cost center for all expenditures

Liaises with Accounting and Finance teams as required

Enforce fiscal discipline on the rig supply chain to promote operational efficiency and financial efficacy

Liaises as appropriate with HQ for all matters related to Incorporation, Taxes, WHT, etc.

Safety & Training

Ensures compliance of Materials and Services with HSE Requirements.

Ensures compliance with HSE Requirements for handling of Materials / Transfers Offshore

Ensure goals and objectives are set for all supply chain personnel, in line with those set by global supply chain

Actively manage the Training Requirements for the development of supply chain personnel

JOB PROFILE :

At least 5 (five) years experience in Oil & Gas industry (or similar type industry), in a senior Supply Chain Management position, with previous exposure to Drilling

University degree in supply chain, logistics  or any equivalent diploma

Fluent English mandatory, French very desirable

Project Management 

Inventory Management (SAP experience an advantage)

IT and Data Processing Skills

Organizational Development skills

Working knowledge of air and sea regulation (such as the transport of dangerous goods)

Working knowledge of import/export processes (such as Customs regulations)

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Leadership and organizational planning ability

Ability to work alone and as part of a team

Flexible and solution oriented with high personal integrity and high attention to details

Ability to handle delicate situations with integrity

Ability to multitask and work under stress

Analyze large amount of data and information objectively, and make quick decisions
