JOB DESCRIPTION

The delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for Central Africa in Yaoundé is looking for a Data & Analytics Officer for its needs.

 

Minimum profile required:

+ University degree and / or higher education diploma in administration, information management, social sciences, statistics or a similar field (qualifying professional experience may be accepted in place of a university degree);

+ Three to four years of professional experience, including at least two years in the use, management and analysis of computer data;

+ Very good command of French and English;

+ Perfectly familiar with and keen interest in working in the Windows environment (Excel, Word, etc.) and Web tools;

+ Knowledge of MS Dynamics, MS Report Builder and SQL an asset;

+ Very strong analytical and data synthesis skills, including data visualization;

+ Excellent communication skills (oral and written);

+ Ability to learn and adapt to new working methods;

+ Excellent ability to work independently and / or with minimal supervision;

+ Ability to define priorities;

+ Team player and ability to integrate a multidisciplinary approach and a multicultural team;

+ Administrative and organizational skills (coordination, information sharing, etc.);

+ Sense of responsibility and discretion;

+ Strong interest in new technologies.

Main responsibilities:

+ Manages Data Protection at the delegation

+ Checks the consistency and homogeneity of data management, ensuring that this is done in accordance with ICRC standards;

+ Regularly provides statistics and analytical reports to Protection teams;

+ Gives contextualized technical advice and ensures support in updating data and archiving them according to procedures;

+ Support the Protection teams in their daily work by answering their questions and monitoring the quality of the case management database (consistency and consistency);

+ Also support / advise in data processing, technical use of institutional software, office management, analytical reports and data management training.
