Under the supervision of the Head of Delegation, the Chief of Base is responsible for representing the FIU to the authorities, beneficiaries and partners involved. The Base Manager ensures program coordination and information sharing with other humanitarian actors and field partners, specifically with members of the The Base Manager ensures the coordination of programs and the sharing of information with other humanitarian actors and partners in the field, specifically with members of the CR/CR Movement. He/she ensures good coordination between the different services of the Batouri base, ensures good communication with the Yaoundé coordination, ensures the security of the teams on the Batouri base, and contributes to the development of the programs.

This position is open to people with the required profile and the selected candidate will have to reside in Batouri by his own means; he is not subjected to relocation. The candidate selected at the end of the process of recruitment will not be able consequently to claim the status of relocated employee.

Degree /Level of study: - University degree in management/business/political science/master's degree related to FIU's activities. political science/master's degree related to FIU's activities - Previous experience in basic management - minimum 2 years ; - Previous project management experience - minimum 1 year - Multi-faceted experience in the humanitarian field, including managing the security of staff, partners security of staff, partners and beneficiaries - minimum 2 years; - Knowledge of the Eastern Region will be an asset.

Essential skills and experience: - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; - Previous experience in team management is essential; - Coordination skills; - Strong budget management experience; - Experience working in security management; - Writing skills and experience in project writing and reporting reports; - Good analytical and synthesis skills; - Good knowledge of the Eastern context, in particular Kadey; - Good knowledge of the Eastern context, particularly Kadey; Computer skills (complete autonomy on Word, Excel and Power Point).

Specific knowledge: - Adaptability and negotiation skills; - Comfortable and flexible in institutional relations; - Experience in managing personnel from different cultures; - Very good teamwork skills; - Good knowledge or experience of the Red Cross Movement (functioning, mandates, etc.); - Good knowledge of the security situation in the Eastern Region; - Good knowledge of the security situation in the Eastern Region; Driver's license
