Maviance PLC is engaging in its expansion phase in Cameroon and within the CEMAC (Central African) region with the goal of establishing the company as a leading player in the Fintech and Digital Financial space.

We are looking for a CFO who will be an integral part of the senior leadership team, providing leadership, financial oversight and direction to ensure the overall fiscal responsibility and financial well-being of the company. The CFO will be primarily responsible for accounting functions, budgets, financial risk management, financial statements and reporting on financial performance, thereby ensuring that the company meets all its ambitious targets for the next years. The CFO will ensure that all internal stakeholders, such as the board of directors and management, have an overview of the company's financial situation at all times and help the growth and the transition of the company to a leader within the digital financial sector.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years experience operating in a similar role.
  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution (Master’s degree and accounting Certification preferred).
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, reporting to C-level.

  • Ability to formulate strategy aligned with company goals and lead the execution thereof.
  • Proven leader with the ability to effectively manage a team that delivers results.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to handle ambiguity and change.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent command of the English and French language.
  • Well versed with local laws and OHADA.
