Business Development Manager, West Africa at Software Group

We are looking for someone based in the West Africa region (Cameroun, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria).

 

Main responsibilities

  • In compliance with the company strategic goals, identifies and classifies possible business sales in the financial and mobile payments sector in Africa.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a strategy and a flexible approach for new clients acquisition, geographical regions, and markets.
  • Manage and develops clients’ portfolio, makes and maintain contacts with clients.
  • Take responsibility for reaching sales targets in the corresponding region.
  • Understand the markets trends and company products in order to adapt them to clients’ needs.
  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues from all regional offices and the team from the Head Office to ensure consistency, efficiency, clients’ satisfaction, and company success.
  • Contribute to the development of the marketing plans and budgets.
  • Evaluate the market potential and prepare the corresponding regional business development plans in consultation with the Regional Business Development Director for Africa.
  • Represent the company in the relevant national and regional events in the sector and develops a strategy for contacting and maintaining contacts with key prospective accounts and business partners.
  • Establish long-term relations, based on trust and respect, with clients’ management staff to guarantee lasting business relations.

 

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must have Market knowledge with at least 7 years of market experience in the financial and mobile payment sector
  • Must speak English and French fluently (Portuguese would be a plus) and have clear writing skills for communicating with customers and colleagues
  • Must have a proven track record of successful business development experience in the region.
  • Knowledge of the company’s products and services portfolio.
  • Sales skills – strong sales cycle management
  • Results-oriented and effective.
  • Capable of remote management
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Communication in multi-cultural/complex environments.
  • General economic and marketing knowledge.
