Your Role:

 

The ekaterra Distributor Markets (eDM) is a global team which is part of the Tea Export Company (TEC) based in the Netherlands to support the local and regional hubs to grow ekaterra’s market share in Retail, Food Service and eComm. 

 

The role of the eDM/TEC team will be:

 

•  Act as a sales and marketing manager to support all distributor and manage selling ekaterra products by providing a central point of contact for guidance on contract templating, import processes, duty, taxes & local regulations, customs, licensing requirements.

  • To act as Sales Expert for the markets where there is local distributor but no local legal entity of ekaterra present. Tea Export Company supports business growth and also transacts with local distributors.

•  To drive portfolio expansion through assortment solutions.

•  Work within Markets to design new models & unlock white spaces in terms of consumer groups (e.g. ethnic, religious minorities) & channels (e.g. travel retail, health & well-being).

  • Planning and Forecasting sales breakup for full year at a brand and SKU level planning to be shared and implemented with the help of distributors team.

 

The purpose of the role is to build, grow and drive the business in the assigned geography. The role is responsible for both frontend delivery of targets and compliment market distribution. 

 

Key responsibilities are:

  • You will set the growth in emerging markets and channels, liaising with local distributor teams for frontend delivery.
  • Responsible for driving business performance, growth & profitability in the distributor markets.
  • White space new revenue development: channel, markets/geographic, portfolio, GTM partners
  • Identify and develop potential GTM partners

 

Your Key Tasks:

  • Distributors’ management, joint business planning and execution
  • Cameroon will be the base location, but you will be manage several neighbouring markets
  • Build winning market positions by identifying new opportunities and areas for growth and work with Distributor Managers in market manage end to end implementation from idea to launch.
  • Support distributor markets to identify, develop, define strong business relationships with GTM partners & e-commerce platforms and develop Key Performance Indicators for distributor markets. 
  • Consolidating annual plans and hold markets accountable to drive growth and profitability as well as increasing market share.

Stakeholder Management and key interfaces

Internal:

  • Report to eDM Business Development Manager
  • Cross functional teams (supply chain, finance, marketing etc).
  • Customers: including GTM partners and key accounts

 

Flexibility for this Role (Working Model, Mobility):

  • The role is full-time role, based remotely
  • Travel will be required at certain points throughout the business cycle.

 

Skills and Experience

Must Haves:

  • Commercial degree, preferably in sales and marketing.
  • At least 5 years of working experience of which 2-3 years’ experience in a FMCG business at a managerial level including business development, distributor management, managing cross functional teams with proven track record of topline growth and bottom-line results.  
  • Language Requirements: English, plus local language

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience within the beverages/ tea category 
  • B2B / Food Service / E-Comm experience
