DELVES is an up-and-coming grassroots independent media platform specialising in conflict and investigative journalism. We're focused on delivering unheard and unfiltered news through video.

 

DELVES is currently looking for an aspiring Associate Producer to join the team to work on some short documentaries and video essays.

 

The Associate Producer plays a vitally important role in the production of all our content. Working with the producer, you will be the driving force behind the development of stories and a self-starting generator of ideas. This position requires no previous producer experience however any work experience in media or journalism is a pro. You’ll need excellent news judgement, a creative flair to distinguish ourselves from other players, resilience when under pressure and broad interest across a range of subjects.

 

Responsibilities:

• Working with the producer to pitch and develop stories to the highest production and news values.
• Detailed research and development into multiple stories on various topics with a focus on EMEA content.
• Organise virtual interviews, arrange contributors and secure relevant intellectual property permissions where required.
• Respond to and gather material of breaking news content.
• Structure and produce scripts to a high standard with attention paid to accuracy and bias/fairness.
• Source and organise relevant archive footage for our content
• Collaborating with other team members in post-production, motion design and sound to make sure that content meets initial concepts/plans.
