The Institute for Research, Socio-economic Development and Communication (IRESCO) is an apolitical, non-confessional and non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of African populations in through the promotion and implementation of viable development initiatives, based on research evidence. To effectively accomplish its mission, IRESCO relies on qualified personnel, recruited through a transparent, competitive and fair selection process. In order to conduct a behavioral survey on malaria, IRESCO is calling for applications for the following position:

INVESTIGATION AGENTS M / F (Constitution of the pool)

Home base: Buea and Bamenda

Number of post: 140

Duration of the mission: 20 days

Start date: Ideally March 10, 2019

Coordinated by: Technical Director

Location: Applicants must have their place of residence in the city of Buea (South-West region) or Bamenda (North-West region).

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION  :  To conduct household surveys

IN PARTICULAR, YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES  :

• Make contact with target households;
• Carry out interviews with heads of households or their representatives through households;
• Collect data from these targets, making sure that the interviewee has understood the question asked very well;
• Respect the rules of neutrality and the dignity of respondents during data collection;
• Respect the time allotted for each questionnaire;
• Write a daily report in the required format.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

• Minimum BAC + 2 with training in the fields of social sciences, health;
• Experience in conducting household surveys would be an asset;
• Experience in collecting mobile data via applications on digital media. .

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Fluency in English and Pidjin and knowledge of local languages ??of the North West and South West region;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to cover long distances on foot;
• Strong adaptation to areas that are difficult to access;
• Dynamic and rigorous.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE

The recruitment procedure at IRESCO includes 3 key steps:

Preselection for participation in training  :

1. A pre-selection on the basis of the submitted file (only candidates whose skills and experiences correspond to the profile described in the offer are selected for the written test)
2. An oral interview
