JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION: BUEA Nkwa Tech is a growing startup interested in hiring an Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate should have experience with MS Excel and strong analytical skills and should demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently. Accountants is expected to be detail oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.

ACCOUNTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare financial reports such as cashflows, income statements, balance sheet, and budget performance

• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews

• Calculate tax and CNPS in line with the Cameroon Tax code and effecting declaration

• Perform bookkeeping and prepare journal entries,

• Prepare financial and tax audits and general ledger preparation

• Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit, and loss statements, and balance sheets

• Enters all financial data into the computer/accounting software

• Reconciling bank statements with books of accounts

• Compute, declare and pay taxes and prepare tax returns

• Carryout reconciliation of transactions occurring on Nkwa and mobile money APIS

• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support

• Ensure that planned activities are carried out in line with the approved weekly/monthly/annual plan and budget.

• Performing other duties as assigned by the hierarchy

ACCOUNTANT REQUIREMENTS

? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

? Knowledge of an accounting software

? At least 1+ year experience in related field ? Strong analytical and computer skills.

? Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.

? Ethical behaviour.

? Attention to detail.

? Trust Worthy

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite(e.g excel, word etc)
